Fancy Friday #112 – Paradise

To me paradise is tropical beaches like in Hawaii. I have never been, but I really want to go sometimes, because it looks like heaven. I pulled out my MoYou London Tropical plates and stamped with them.

On my index and middle finger I painted three coats of Models Own Beach Bag, a bright peachy-coral neon. I stamped with Mundo de Uñas Black and MoYou London Tropical 03. On my ring finger I painted three coats of OPI This Color’s Making Waves from the Hawaii Collection, a beautiful turquoise/blue/purple duo chrome with gold glitter. I stamped with Depend White Stamping polish and MoYou London Tropical 11. On my pinky I have two coats of China Glaze Water You Waiting For?

I also painted three coats of OPI This Color’s Making Waves on my thumb and stamped two palm trees from MoYou London Tropical 11. I could stare at that blue duo chrome all day. It is so shiny and beautiful. I didn’t plan on picking up any polishes from the Hawaii Collection but they went on sale and this just spoke to me. The Danish summer weather is not here yet. It’s not the warm and it has been raining every day for like a week, not cool. Remember to see what the others have come up with for paradise nails.

Fancy Friday #110 – Childhood Memory

So I was a bit stumped for ideas for today, but then I remembered that used to blow dandelion seeds and pick daisies from the grass and put them in little vases in the house.

VDSC_1199

I started with three coats of Essie Blossom Dandy on all of my fingers. Then I stamped the dandelion seeds on my index finger from the MoYou London Pro 06XL plate. The daisies are free-handed using a small detail brush and OPI Alpine Snow for the leaves and China Glaze Happy Go Lucky for the centers.

I stamped the dandelion flowers with MoYou London Pro 06XL and Mundo de Unas Black. I’m really happy with how great the stamp transferred. You can see all the little details.

Bonus picture with the little daisy flowers in my lawn. I love the little white flowers, they remind me of spring and summer, and they also look cute in a headband or in a little vase. Remember to click by the other ladies to see what they did for today.

Fancy Friday #107 – Gold

Happy friday. The sun is shining and spring is definitely here. Immediately when I saw the theme for today it thought about the 1920’s and The Great Gatsby. The black and gold art deco prints. I had recently ordered the MoYou London Time Traveller Back to the 20’s plate 05, which has some really pretty art deco images on it, so I had to try it out today.

VDSC_1121

It was quite a simple manicure to do. I started with two thin coats of Barry M Gold Foil Effects and then I stamped using Mundo de Uñas Black. I decided to do a stamping skittle, using five different images, one on each nail. I decided to go with images that had the same feel to them. All of these look at bit like clam shells or fans.

VDSC_1124

I really like black and gold together. It is a classic combination that is super easy to wear. I thought about adding gold glitter to the base, but decided it would be too busy with the stamping on top.

Bonus shot of my thumb nail. My nails are getting super long again, so I will probably trim them before next friday. The weird thing is that when they are naked they look so much longer than when I have polish on them. Remember to click by the other girls to see what they did for today.

Fancy Friday #100 – Easter

Happy friday and almost easter. Today it is post number 100 in Fancy Friday. It’s really crazy to think about. We are celebrating easter a little early here, hoping to inspire other people to what they want to wear for easter.

VDSC_0660

I started out with two coats of OPI Alpine Snow. After that dried, I applied liquid latex around my nails so ease clean up. I then water marbled with Essie Bikini so Teeny, Essie First Timer, Revlon Buttercup, Nubar Purple Aster and OPI Pink-ing of You. I was inspired for the water marble by @thepolishedokie on Instagram. Some of her nail art was stolen by a company and then sold as press on nails. Always give credit, where credit is due!

VDSC_0677

I quite liked to way the water marble looked, and I’m so doing the pattern again with other colors, but I decided to stamp on top of it. I used Mundo de Unas black stamping polish and MoYou London Festive 13. The ring finger is the least crooked of the patterns. It is quite hard to stamp straight lines every single time. It looks a little bit tribal, so with a different base it would look even more tribal. I topped off the manicure with a coat of Seche Vite. Fancy Friday #99 – Favorite color

Happy friday. Another friday, another skittlette. Today the theme is favorite color. I have 135 purples so by that number it must be my favorite color. Blue is a close second with 130 polishes. To try more than one of my untried I did another skittlette, but rearranged the nails a bit, compared to last friday.

VDSC_0622

I painted my thumb and index three coats of OPI Do You Have This Color in Stock-holm? In then painted three coats of Essie Lilacism and stamped with Mundo de Unas purple and MoYou London Fashionista 07. I was planning stamping with Sally Hansen Leaden Lilac, but you have to be really quick, and my stamping was not quick enough, so I switched to an easier polish. On my pinky I have three coats of Deborah Lippmann Do The Mermaid.

VDSC_0627

I don’t know if I like the stamping pattern I chose for this look. Maybe it’s just the stamping color that is annoying me, since it’s red-toned when the other purples are more on the blue toned side. Next week I promise that there will not be another skittlette. Click on the blue blob to see what the other ladies came up with.
