Fancy Friday #172 – Rainbow

Happy Friday. Todays theme is rainbow. I had this specific idea for a manicure in my head ever since I purchased these polishes last year, and finally had an opportunity to do it.

I have three coats of OPI This Gown Needs a Crown on my thumb, index and pinky. On my middle finger nail I have two coats of OPI My Signature is “DC” as the base for the water marble and three coats of Floss Gloss Dimepiece on my ring finger. I accidentally dipped the ring finger in the water, but the effect turned out really great.

The water marble is done with all of the OPI Color Paints polishes – Magenta Muse, Chromatic Orange, Primarily Yellow, Landscape Artist, Turquoise Aesthetic, Indigo Motif, Purple Perspective and Pen & Pink. I just dropped the polishes in without making a design before dipping in my finger. It turned out exactly as I had imagined. I’m definitely going to be using these polishes for a water marble again.

Fancy Friday #171 – Fall

Happy Friday. Todays theme is fall. We had some really great weather in Denmark considering the time of the year. Sunny days and high temperatures. I really like it.

I applied three coats of Illamasqua Charisma, a perfect fall burgundy shimmer, on my thumb, index, middle and ring finger nails. On my middle and ring finger I stamped a leaf pattern using Barry M Gold Foil and the MoYou Tropical 14 plate.

On my pinky I have two coats of OPI Black Onyx and two coats of Deborah Lippmann Ruby Red Slippers. I really loved the gold leaf stamping on top of the burgundy color.

I dag er temaet efterår. Jeg elsker mørkerød og guld sammen når det er efterår, så det var helt oplagt.

Fancy Friday #170 – Ocean

Happy Friday. Today the theme is the ocean, specifically the Mediterranean.

I found a manicure I hadn’t posted yet, that fit into this theme. I used two coats of Barry M Sky Blue and two coats of Revlon Whimsical. The color represent the ocean, while the blue and pink glitter can be the seashells. The white stamping is how the sunlight catches the reflection of the water. The stamping is from the Bundle Monster XL16 plate.

Fancy Friday #169 – Danish summer

Happy Friday. Today’s theme is Danish summer. This the weather have been very rainy, at least for the most part. I was lucky enough to spend two weeks in the US and 4 days in Malaga, so I got some sunshine and warmth.

I choose to do a grey waterfall manicure to represent the grey skies and rain we had, but I added a touch of gold, to represent the days of sunshine. I started with three coats of Illamsqua Raindrops. I then did a waterfall manicure using OPI Black Onyx, Picture Polish Winter, a England Encore Margot and China Glaze I’m Not Lion.

Fancy Friday #168 – Accent nail

Happy Friday. Today the theme is accent nail, and I choose to do a skittlette, with two accent nails, instead of one.

I started with three coats of Wet n Wild Pale in Comparison on my thumb, index, middle and pinky finger. For one of my accent nails I did three coats of Maybelline Pink Party Dress, a beautiful rose gold glitter. I topped my index and pinky nails with China Glaze Fairy Dust. On my thumb and middle I stamped using MoYou London Pro XL11 and a England Sleeping Palace.

I liked the manicure better without the stamping, I don’t know if it is the stamp itself or the color of the stamp, but it looked more clean without it.

I dag er temaet accent negl. Jeg lavede en skittlette med to accent negle i stedet for en, men jeg kunne bedre lide manicuren før jeg lavede stampingen.

Fancy Friday #167 – Recreate your first nail art

Happy Friday. Today we are recreating our first nail art. I chose the nail art I did for the very first Fancy Friday many many Fridays ago. I updated it a little bit, and I think it turned out so good.

I have two coats of China Glaze First Mate on my index and pinky, and two studs. I switched the sides I placed them on. On my middle I have three coats of Barry M Sky Blue, because I destashed the Essence polish I used. Instead of the rhinestones I did a little stamping using MoYou London Pro XL14 and MoYou London White Knight. On my ring finger I have three coats of Kiko 294 Indigo and some round blue iridescent glequins from BornPrettyStore.

I dag skal vi genskabe vores første nail art. Jeg har genskabt den første Fælles Fredag manicure jeg lavede, dog opdaterede jeg den lidt, med noget stamping i stedet for de rhinsten jeg havde på en af neglene.

Fancy Friday #166 – Neon

Happy friday. I just came home from a little extra vacation in Malaga, Spain. I had a great summer and have two more weeks left before I start my internship. Today the theme is neon, and what is more fitting during the summer months. I love neons, and have been on a hunt for a dupe for the original Flip Flop Fantasy from China Glaze, and I think I have found a really close one, which I’m wearing today. I’m planning on doing a huge dupes post for Flip Flop Fantasy, because I have a lot of close polishes after a year of searching.

I have three coats of China Glaze Shocking Pink on my index and pinky nails. This looks really close to the original Flip Flop Fantasy. I have three coats of Wet n Wild French White Creme on my thumb, middle and ring finger. I stamped with the MoYou London Pro XL 06 plate on my thumb and middle using MoYou London Black Knight. On my ring finger I stamped with the MoYou London Fashionista 04 plate.

I added a little bit of China Glaze Shocking Pink to some of the petals on the flower nails, to add a pop of color on those nails as well. If I do it again I will probably do a little bit of dry brushing on the nail before stamping. Remember to click by the other ladies to see what they did for today.

Fancy Friday #165 – Dirty Dancing

Happy Friday. I missed the last to Friday’s, but those will be up later today or tomorrow, since I did the nail art before leaving for vacation, but I was so busy seeing Boston and New York that I didn’t have time to write the blog posts. Today’s theme is Dirty Dancing, I was inspired by the dress Baby wears in the last scenes when dancing on stage, the light pink one.

This is a super old manicure, I had in my un-posted section, but I thought it fit perfectly with the theme for today. It is not as creative as it could have been, but I have spent the past two days traveling, unpacking and settling in back home 🙂

This is Revlon Popular. I don’t think they make this polish anymore, at least it didn’t see it in any of the drugstores I was in for the past two weeks. It is a light milky pink base with a ton of larger silver hexagons and smaller silver glitters. I think this was three coats. Remember to check out the other ladies 🙂

I dag er temaet Dirty Dancing. Jeg kom hjem fra ferie i onsdags, så jeg fandt denne i gemmerne af ting jeg ikke havde lagt online. Farven mindede mig om den kjole Baby har på til sidst i filmen, hvor de danser sammen på scenen. Husk at klikke forbi de andre for at se hvad de har fundet på.

Fancy Friday #162 – Fishtail Nail art

Happy Friday. It is almost time for my vacation, and I can’t wait to find some sunshine and heath after the miserable weather we have been having in Denmark for the past week. I actually chose the theme for today, which is fishtail or braided nail art. I used this tutorial from Lucy’s Stash

I started with two coats of Cult Nails Love at 1st Sight on my thumb, index, middle and ring finger nails. On my pinky I have two coats of Mesauda Aquamarine topped with one coat of Claire’s Glam. I used the Cult Nails polish, the Mesuada polish and Essie Nothing Else Metals for the braided nails.

I just alternated between the different colors until I reached the end of the nail. I took a little longer than I expected because I had to grasp the technique and the colors had to dry in between. Next time I will try to make the lines a little wider so I don’t need as many to complete the whole nail. I really like to pop of chrome in between the two creme colors.

I dag er temaet flettet nail art. Jeg brugte to creme lakker og en chrome lak, og det gav et rigtig fint spil mellem farverne. Næste gang jeg prøver det, vil jeg nok lave striperne lidt tykkere så jeg ikke skal lave så mange for at have en hel negl.

Fancy Friday #161 – Midsummer

Happy Friday. Yesterday we celebrated midsummer in Denmark. I have not been super inspired by the last couple of prompts, but hopefully a bit of vacation and time away will help.

I didn’t feel like doing some elaborate nail art, so I found a polish that reminded me of fire, China Glaze Cabin Fever. I put on three coats of this pretty duo chrome polish. It has a shift from red/pink to gold/green, and it dried brush stroke free and shiny.

I går fejrede vi Sankt Hans så det er temaet i dag. Jeg har været lidt uinspireret af de seneste temaer i Fælles Fredag, så det blev ikke til noget nail art i dag. Forhåbentlig hjælper lidt ferie på kreativiteten.
